Dr Khaled Hamawi

Dr. Khaled Hamawi is Executive Director of Health System Design and Planning in NEOM’s Health and Wellbeing sector. His primary responsibility is to lead the creation of the innovative architecture that will underpin NEOM’s future healthcare system, this includes: the model of wellness and care, integrated wellness and care delivery, customer experience and demand capacity modeling.

Prior to this, Dr. Khaled was the Vice President of Healthcare delivery at the Eastern Health Cluster in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, leading the implementation of the newly designed model of care across the facility which is responsible for 3.5M beneficiaries.

With over 23 years of clinical and leadership experience in health systems, health industry, and organ transplantation, Dr. Khaled have a proven track record of transforming and optimizing healthcare delivery and operations in multiple renowned organizations. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is also a fellow of American Society of Nephrology and a Fellow at the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Khaled holds an Executive Coaching Diploma from Emory University and a Master of Health System Management from Arizona State University.
