GHO Capital Partners, at around €9 billion, has also emerged as one of Europe’s biggest healthcare-focused private equity firms.

Smaller firms include Avista Capital Partners (€4.2 billion), Cressey & Company (€3.3 billion), Varsity Healthcare Partners (€1.5 billion), RoundTable Healthcare Partners (€2.8 billion) and HealthEdge Investment Partners (€0.3 billion), who continue to invest in more specialised healthcare niches.
