Revenue per dentist 2018
This week HBI takes a select look at revenue per dentist across Europe.
Switzerland is the clear outlier here, with revenues at nearly double that of the second largest market, Denmark. This is due in part to higher healthcare costs in Switzerland and the fact that dentistry is funded through supplementary PMI.
Our data doesn’t account for costs incurred and thus there’s no measure of EBITDA margins. However, 90% of the Swiss market remains unconsolidated so there’s potential to push these higher through synergies.
Italy is regarded as the second largest European market for dentistry (behind Germany) but its revenue per dentist is at the lower end of the spectrum with prices dropping about 1% year-on-year.
Revenue per dentist in Norway and Finland are expected to grow the fastest and Italy the least.
